The only thing I used for this shot was Christine Ferguson holding a white reflector to block all of the harsh light falling onto Ashley. I metered for the face, took the shot and that was that. Here you have a wonderful portrait with nothing else being used other than a $20 reflector. I was using my 85mm lens and my settings on my camera were f5.0 at 1/300 sec with an iso of 400.
Photography has nothing to do with equipment, it's all about the light. Learn to see light and shadows and everytime you blink your eyes, will be like the shutter opening and closing on your camera. You will see the world so differently and more opportunities will come from this.
